Dan Clements I don't love to hate, and I'm not a member of the GOP either. I comment on the news of the day

Antagonist- It says CONSERVATIVE radio, Dan...and maybe you should check some of your own FB posts before you deny rather proudly wearing the vestments of hate. Seriously.

Dan Clements you consider anything that challenges your ideas as hateful, so how can anything that challenges your ideas not be hateful in your eyes?

Antagonist- Um,..if I am interpreting your strangely posed question correctly, the answer is; Because my ideaLs are to take in the refugees, NOT refuse them; give shelter to the immigrants, NOT deport them; feed the poor, NOT deny them a "handout"; heal the sick, NOT deny their RIGHT to healthcare; bring knowledge to the ignorant, NOT to MISinform others who are too UNinformed to think past your stunted little worldview, Dan! Feeding, sheltering, welcoming, healing, teaching...now how hateful is THAT crap?!

Dan Clements muslim refugees that we can't vet, Illegal immigrants, help the poor get jobs, healthcare is not a right, I back up everything I say on my show with references, so folks can make up their own minds, I teach not indoctrinate.

Antagonist- I'd beg to differ, but I don't take on a battle of wits with...oh, nevermind. Just saying, it's not exactly AVAILING your listeners to the other side of the argument by mentioning dubious "references" on a talk show. How many are actually checking into them, as opposed to just gulping down your smooth-coated propaganda? And just try to deny that you're aware that this is how that "referencing" thing works. Defensive, but not effective, Danny Boy. Why can't you be honest and just admit that your purpose is to sway thinking-impaired people to your agenda, and make the world a little more exclusive for the benefit of your regressive type? Or isn't honesty a Christian value if it applies to the poor, the sick, the needy the ignorant, etc...?

Dan Clements You make a lot of assumptions, and by doing so insult the intelligence of people who listen to my show. People get left wing propaganda all day long from the lamestream media, and if I differ from that and have facts to back me up, you say I'm just a hate monger. I share stories from both sides of the arena of ideas, I just take a more individual responsibility approach to life over we have a village approach to life where no one is responsible for anything.

If you noticed, at no time was I hateful, or personally attacked my antagonist. I try never to fall to this level of discourse, and I have people who help keep me in check.
My antagonist almost always heads in this direction when her arguments fail, and she looses her cool. Most of the time I just get out of her way and she ends up showing her hate, by her personal attacks. And the funny part is she doesn't even see her own hypocrisy!

The Hubris of man

Everyday we hear more and more about how 200 countries are going to save the planet from man made global climate change. We are told if we don't do something soon we will all die. We are told that we can change the global temperature.

CO2 makes up only 0.04% of the earths atmosphere. Plants need CO2 to live and thrive. From what I have been reading the school is out on how much CO2 plants use. If more CO2 means healthier well feed plants and more of them, then would it follow that more CO2 is being taken out of our atmosphere?

And can we really affect to amount of CO2 that goes into the atmosphere? I know we burn more fossil fuels and there are more people on planet earth, but if we tamper with the climate like the 200 countries want ( and I'm very doubtful they can change to climate) will we inadvertently hurt the plant kingdom and in doing so ourselves?

Should we be mindful of other pollutants we put in the atmosphere? Yes we should, but if CO2 is part of the food plants need to grow and thrive, then why would governments call it a pollutant? If plants turn CO2 into O2 for us to breath isn't that a good thing? Seems to me we have a bunch of Captain Planets running around to save a world that doesn't need saving.

The science is anything but settled, and to use faulty data smacks of putting forth an agenda that is something other than climate change.

The Paris accords on climate are nothing more than wealth redistribution on a global scale. The summit wants weather countries to fork over money to developing countries. Developing countries don't need our money they need our freedoms, free markets, and job distribution. Most of the money that would be extracted out of the global money grab would only go to politicians and the politically connected.

The one actor that has not been addressed in this whole charade, is the SUN! The SUN is the number one driver factor when it comes to global temperatures. What are they going to do about that? Send Captain Planet up there to make the SUN behave? Once again this is a money grab plan and simple and the global climate farce is the vehicle by which they plan to take it!

Helping Friends

This week I had the opportunity to help out some close friends of Lori and I. There was a lot of work that needed done before our friends could open a dog grooming shop at their home. I'm a handyman for a lack of a better term. My father would call me a jack of all trades and a master of none.

When I arrived to our friends house after my show on Monday, there was a Shelton of the pet grooming shop carved out of their garage. So for the next 3 afternoons, and the last afternoon ended around 11 pm, we worked to get the shop functional for some grooming appointments that they had on Thursday.

There was some minor electrical, plumbing and closing of walls with paneling that we worked on for the 3 days. They feed me really well, and the comradery we enjoyed could not be better. All in all we had a good time working on this project.

My point in saying all of this is when a friend is in need and you have talents that can help them, do so. I'm getting older and my joints and back don't work like they use to. At the end of each day I was exhausted, but satisfied knowing that I was helping some friends. I think we learned a little about each other we didn't know before. I hope this makes our friendship a little stronger in the future, as I'm sure it will.

When we use our talents (no matter what they are) to help friends, we in the end help ourselves. I came out of last week with a sense of accomplishment of doing a good job. My hope and prayer is that in doing this for some friends that they might share this story with someone and get a conversation going about how Christians are to help one another. God has blessed me in so many ways that I can't count them all. But the blessing of friends, God given talents, and fellowship are three blessing I count on every day. We can't make it through life alone, nor should we try. We need to help each other as we have opportunity and ability.

Jesus said “ and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.” Mathew 28:20b. We are never alone in Christ, and we should never be alone in our lives. So remember you have friends and if you can and have the ability, help a friend!

RIT (radical islamic terrorist)

We seem to be walking on egg shells lately when it comes to islam and the jihad they have sworn against western civilization. Our stewards in government do not want to recognize the jihad for what it is. Liberals on the left and some folks on the right side of politics don't want to call it for what it is. I even have a hard time with the radical part, because it implies a departure from the norm. I also have a hard time with islam being put forth as a religion. I see it as a form of political governance, a theocracy that uses the quran and sharia law as it's basis for that governance. I don't see freedom or liberty in the quran, I only see forced submission in it's tenets and scripture.

When a person steels things that is not theirs, we call them a thief and a criminal. When someone doesn't tell the truth we call them a liar. When someone kills someone, we call them a murderer. When someone uses terror to achieve a stated goal, we call them a terrorist. When someone who practices islam and uses terror to achieve a stated goal we call them an islamic terrorist. And when they use any means, and target people indiscriminately, then they are radicals.

What happened at Fort Hood and San Bernardino was and is RIT It can't be anything else. And to call it anything else is a lie. To not confront RIT Is a big mistake, because it just emboldens the RIT To carry out more acts of terrorism. Can a RIT Be stopped all of the time, no. But to use these acts of terror to further an agenda of gun confiscation by the government, is going down a path the US government may not want to go down. A law abiding citizen who is armed and trained to use a firearm, is more of a deterrent than our stewards in government would like to admit. Gun safety laws do more harm than good, and California I think leads the country in gun safety laws and they didn't deter the RIT's.

R.I.T. Is the problem, and vigilance is the answer. We the People need to be ever vigilant when someone tries to take our rights away from us, especially out right to Bare arms!

Why are the free markets staying out of solar and wind energy projects?

Abengoa on verge of largest bankruptcy filing in Spanish history, is the title of an article I shared on my radio show Tuesday. They are trying to restructure $14-15 billion in debt with their creditors. Spain has long been a world leader in renewable energy, which is heavily subsidized by the Spanish government. Most of the renewable energy projects around the world are being subsidized by governments, It makes me wonder why the free markets aren't doing more in this sector of the economy.

The chart below show how much in subsidizes each sector of energy generation receives from the government and then how much each sector produces;

You can see that wind and solar get 50% of the subsidizes but are only 2% of the generation puzzle. Why is that? The free markets are investing in renewable energy projects, just not the government approved ones. Wind and solar use to much space, upfront cost are too high, and the down the road maintenance cost are too high. Also the return on investment is low to non existent. Projects that involve hydrogen are where the free markets are looking to invest their money. Totally scalable, and portable, hydrogen fuel cells can generate electricity cheaper and easier with out the upfront cost and long term maintenance costs.

So getting back to the Spanish story above, this is just another example in a long line of examples of when governments get involved in the economy that they have no business being in, things don't go as planned. And not to mention the big problem of crony capitalism! Free markets have worked for the betterment of mankind longer than there have been governments. Someday we may all learn this lesson, to the betterment of ourselves and the society in which we live!

I just want to say thanks for all the support my listeners and friends have given me this year in the relaunching of Back II Basic, a Christian/political talk show. I wan to thank God for the talent he has blessed me with, and to also keeping me humble. I never want to thinks I did this all by myself. Let's face it, without God's blessings on me, your prayers and support, I would not be able to do the show. On Thanksgiving day I like to share a story about how we established this holiday. The history books don't do it justice. Our founders always gave God thanks for all that he did for them. And I would like to close out this blog post with George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation October 3, 1789. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thanksgiving Proclamation

Issued by President George Washington, at the request of Congress, on October 3, 1789

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.
Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and—Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

Obama; Bashar al-Assad is to blame for ISIS, huh?

President Obama must be the world's best fisherman, because he just told a whopper!! I was finishing post show production for “Back II Basic” my internet radio show, and I was watching One American News Network coverage of president Obama and French president François Hollande joint press conference. While I was listening to president Obama speak, he said “ Bashar al-Assad was responsible for ISIS, my reaction was huh? It is my understanding that ISIS was filling a power vacuum created by our withdrawal from Iraq and the installation of a weak government in Iraq.

President Obama further went on to say that Vladimir Putin, was not helping matters by supporting Bashar al-Assad and not helping America to take him out. It is my understanding that the US is most responsible for the rise of ISIS, when we didn't complete to job in Iraq, disarmed and disbanded the Iraq army, and left Iraq vulnerable to the rise of a terrorist group. This I believe was a major cause for the Iraq civil war.

I can't argue that ISIS doesn't like Bashar al-Assad, because like Saddam Hussein, Bashar al-Assad does not tolerate terrorist period! Then reenter the United States, the administration wants to over throw Bashar al-Assad because he is not friendly to us or our agenda. We really don't know who the rebels fighting Bashar al-Assad are, and who is supporting them. Now add Russia to the mix, who supports Bashar al-Assad, and the score card gets real confusing.

Now add president Obama's stance on climate change and blaming it for all the ills in the world, and you have a pretty clear picture of what is going on in the world, especially the middle east.

The Washington Examiner ran an article entitled “National security issues expose the danger of amateur candidates” in the article they made a statement that made me laugh, “Today, from the threats posed by hostile regimes in Iran, China, Russia and elsewhere, to the dilemma of Syrian refugees, to the challenges of the Islamic State and the broader Middle East, the world cannot afford to have an amateur in the Oval Office.” I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this and shared it on my show Back II Basic episode 419 . “the world cannot afford to have an amateur in the Oval Office”, it's because of the amateur in the White House now that the world seems to be falling apart. We need to get out of all these “foreign entanglements” and hit the reset button, let the fires we set burn out and in the future try to mind our own business!

Instead of blaming everyone else, we need to look at our foreign policy and get back to being friends to all countries who want to be friends with us, and stay out of others countries business, and maybe just maybe things might start correcting themselves without our help!!

Black Lives Matter, are they a hate group?

I have been doing some research in what constitutes a hate group. It is very confusing and very political. The Wikipedia definition is “A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, nation, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other designated sector of society.” The problem with defining a hate group is, it is very subjective. It depends on your worldview, your politics, and yes your upbringing.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, has named just about every group who doesn't view the world through liberal eyes as a hate group. The FBI is the opposite. I couldn't find anyone who seemed to be objective in assessing what a hate group is.

As a Christian, I'm told to hate the sin but love the sinner. Jude 1:21-23 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

God does not show partiality when it comes to us, Romans 2:11 “For there is no partiality with God.” If God will not show partiality then I cannot. This has to be my standard when I look at different groups and determine in my own mind if they are hate groups. Some of the standards in the definition above have to do with sins, and some do not. I would not classify race, ethnicity, nation, religion, gender, as something to hate. Our society has determined that if you disagree with someones choices that your a hater. Gender identity, sexual orientation, are sins in the eyes of God, but the person practicing these things are not to be hated! Most people who hate are taught how to hate, it doesn't come natural to us.

Black Lives Matter, through their actions and words show that they hate the person and not just the actions. When you advocate violence against anyone without just cause (declaration of war) you are advocating hate and show partiality. To blindly hate someone leads to death and destruction, not only to the one you hate but to the hater also. It poisons the soul and pollutes the mind to the point that you can't see anything else but blind hatred. Black Lives Matter has crossed the line from an advocacy group, over to a hate group.

If we are to stop the hate we need to follow Jesus example and address the behavior and not hate the person. John 8:3-11 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. 7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?" 11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

Can you just create a Bill of Rights?

A pro-amnesty group called United We Stay has put forward a Bill of Rights for illegal immigrants. The group calls illegal immigrants “law-abiding undocumented Americans.” My first observation would be that the illegal immigrant broke US law to get here, strike one. Too remain here and partake of our welfare state is strike two. To defraud the US government in matters of taxation and Social Security, is strike three. These so called “law-abiding undocumented Americans” are anything but law abiding, their very presence in the US is a violation of US law. The crimes some of them commit, from murder, rape, SS and IRS fraud are just naming a few of the crimes they commit.

They claim just because their children are born on US soil, that makes the child a US citizen. They claim their children are entitled to all sorts of benefits that are reserved for actual US citizens. Education, medical services, and to right to exercise certain freedoms in the US. John Feere from the Center for Immigration Studies was on my show and laid out the argument against the anchor baby theory. Episode 359:Birth right citizenship. An interview w/Jon Feere from CIS

Thomas Jefferson and the committee of five put forth in the Declaration of Independence “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” I agree that all men and women everywhere have these rights and more, that are given to them by God, but where we part company on exercising these is that you don't have the ability to practice these anywhere you like. In order to practice your rights you must be a legal resident of the country you want to practice these rights in. I can go to China and practice these rights but there may be some consequences that I may have to face for doing so. For one thing I'm not a legal citizen of China, and two China may not want me to exercise some of the rights. That doesn't mean I don't have those rights, it just means that China may restrict me from exercising these rights. Even if I were a legal citizen of China, the government still may not allow me to exercise these rights.

There is a legal process people go through to immigrate to a country, and the US has a process in place for legal immigration. When you circumvent that process, and come here illegally, you just forfeited any rights you may think you have! When criminals are tried and convicted in the US, they forfeit there liberty and pursuit of happiness. If you break the law, there are always consequences, or at least there should be.

This so called “Bill of Rights” for illegal immigrants is a joke and a slap in the face of what America and the men and women who founded it, stood for and thought. We have belittled what a “Bill of Rights” is and does by attaching it to everything from flying on airplanes, taxpayers, students, etc. And now we have people who are trying to convince us that law breakers have a “Bill of Rights.” Here are the so called “Bill of Rights” for “law-abiding undocumented Americans” and my commentary on each one;

1. Acknowledgment that we are already here, that we are human beings with a right to be, that our mere presence cannot be deemed illegal or our existence alien. (You broke the law coming into our country illegally, therefore you are illegally in the US and therefore alien to us in citizenship)

2. Affirmation that we are to be treated with dignity and respect, not just because of who we are, but who you are — historic beneficiaries of immigrant struggles for the freedom to be. (America's immigrant struggles were not with people coming here illegally, it was with the amount of people coming here and the concern that they wouldn't assimilate into the American culture. The freedom to be, is only guaranteed to those who have a legal right to be here)

3. Recognition of our right to be presented with a path to citizenship/residency as the first priority of future immigration policy combined with interim deferment of all law-abiding Undocumented Americans against detention and deportation. ( Again there is no such thing as “ law-abiding Undocumented Americans” You broke and continue to break the law by coming and staying here in the US!)

4. Compelled authorization of birth certificates for our U.S.-born children to ensure their constitutionally guaranteed right to citizenship. (Please refer to my conversation with John Feere of CIS)

5. Protection against cruel and unusual punishment, including the separation of our immediate families and incarceration without charges, hearings or representation. ( The fifth and fourteenth amendments to the US Constitution, guaranties due process rights for American citizens. In most countries they would deport illegal immigrants, because they broke their immigration laws. Our laws are very similar and deportation is the only remedy for coming here illegally. Due process would be to determine your immigration status, and if your found to be here illegally, then we send you and anyone with you who is here illegally back to your country of origin.)

6. Access to non-discriminating public education and in-state tuition to ensure that our children realize their full potential for themselves and the country. (Again there is no such thing as birthright citizenship as defined by United We Stay. Therefore illegal immigrants do not have a right to any services offered by our country.)

7. Guarantee of wage equality with a legal right to petition for wage theft or workplace mistreatment without jeopardizing our immigration status. (How do you get a job without fraud when you are here illegally? You can't therefore you just broke more laws by being here and trying to work here!)

8. Assurance of humanitarian treatment, including medical care. (We are good people here in America, and if it's emergency medical care that is required, it will be provided. We treat illegal immigrants better than most countries do, and tolerate them more than most countries do.)

9. Protection against detention or deportation when we report a crime as a victim of witness. (Again you are here illegally, you don't have the Fifth amendment protections an American citizen has.)

Guarantee of the Declaration’s unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. (You already have those rights, you just don't have the right to practice them here as a law breaker)

The bottom line is, if illegal immigrants came here through the legal process we would not be having this conversation. And because they come here illegally, they jump the line and disregard the rights of immigrants who came and are trying to come here legally! Most of the countries I have visited, when you break the law, there are consequences. Why do the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, think they are about our laws?
